The origins of yoga are intertwined with the practice of meditation. The connection between body and mind is integral to making yoga classes more than an exercise routine. Combining breath and movement can have such positive effects as self-awareness, reduced stress and fatigue, increased mental and physical strength, uplifted mood, and improved focus and concentration.
